Born in Bandra, Mumbai — Mufasa Cafe is a love letter to bold flavours, honest ingredients, and warm hospitality.
How it started
A small table. A big dream.
It started with a charcoal grill, 20 mismatched chairs, and a conviction that Mumbai deserved a neighbourhood restaurant that felt like home. In 2017, Arjun Mehta opened Mufasa Cafe on a quiet lane in Bandra West — and the city showed up.
The name? Inspired by the idea of strength, pride, and legacy. Like the great lion, we believe in standing for something. In our case: quality over shortcuts, community over transactions, and food that actually tells a story.
Today, Mufasa has grown to 100 seats and a full online delivery operation — but the kitchen ethos has never changed. Every marinade is made from scratch. Every vegetable is sourced within 50km of the city. Every dish is finished by hand.
